New Summer Family Event – when it was announced that we would not be participating in Vacation Bible School (VBS) with St. Martin, the Family Ministry Committee started looking for something special for children and families during the summer. Since VBS is such a huge project to put together, we believed that we could not offer a VBS program this summer but did some brainstorming to find another event.
That being said, one of our strengths here at St. Paul is planning and offering family events such as Breakfast with the Bunny and Trunk or Treat. With that in mind, we decided to plan a family event in the evening.
On Friday, July 19 we will have a Summer Family Movie Night. We will show an animated movie about a duck family who go on an adventure together (our video license does not allow us to mention the name of the movie on public media). The evening begins at 5:30pm. We will serve pizza, do a duck-themed craft, learn a biblical truth related to the movie and then view the movie. We will end the evening at about 8:00pm with dessert and prayer. Sign up by Wed. July 17 please.
Another Family Event – Church Picnic on Sunday, August 11 beginning with 10:45am worship
at West Canal Park Marina. This is always a great day to be together as a church family! Bonus: we will celebrate the paying off of our loan! The Family Ministry Committee plans this fun event and you can sign up for it in The Gathering Place, by Mon. August 5. Plan to attend this annual fun event!
